Hyper Island says ‘Doei!’

Last Saturday, Hyper Island was stationed at Blast Radius Amsterdam for a new recruitment day. Four brave souls attended and challenged themselves in the various task they had to do: an individual and group creative task, and English test and the commonly feared interview. As a sign of support, several Hyper Island students came by, including some that had an internship going in Amsterdam, and some that came all the way from Stockholm (like me).
The four potential Hyper Island students all had the right stuff: the will to learn by doing, the motivation to be a good team member and the pinch of leadership that was dying to get more attention.
The fun part came when the staff tried to explain the methodology and process used at Hyper Island. The four applicants looked a bit confused, knowing it theoretically all made sense, but wondering how this would look in practice. But of course, no one could explain how unique the Hyper Island experience is. Only when you are here, you know what it’s all about. That’s the beauty of the whole Hyper Island mystery.
And now comes the waiting period. All applicants will get an answer within a few weeks. I sincerely hope some, if not all, get accepted. Hyper Island is in need of some more influence from ‘de Lage Landen’.

Hallo from Cas straight from Belgium

Hello you all! I’m Cas Lemmens. I come from the city of diamonds, also know as Antwerp, right in the heart of Belgium. Before I came to Hyper Island, I mainly designed and developed web projects, which you can find in my portfolio. Last year, I applied for Interactive Art Direction at Hyper Island Stockholm. I’ll be most happy to help you with any kind of information regarding Hyper Island, living in Stockholm, or any thing else actually. So don’t mind sending me an e-mail. You can also find me on Facebook, Twitter, or basically any social network if you search for Castemelijn ;-) Good luck, and I hope to see you all on the recruitment days in Amsterdam!
